Day 1 Continued

Ok so I thought that I had saved some writing but apparently not...

This is not proving to be as easy as I had hoped.  Here are some pics relating to the fire wood collecting:

Later on we went for a walk around the entire island.  Very nice, but not recommended in only scrawny flip flops... (make mental note:  scrawny flip flops to be left behind.)

The kids then played on the beach as the sun went down, and then we headed off for dinner at one of the local restaurants.  Can't remember at all what we ate, but in my mind it was pretty good.  Probably had a couple of cold beers to go with it, so seldom reason to complain too much when you have that going on.

After dinner we strolled back down the beach, and then got the for going.  Always great having a 🔥 on the beach.

Further Day 1 Adventures

So the weather did us loads of favours.  It was brilliant and the kids had a blast on the beach, while YHN (Your Humble Narrator) collected wood for the evening's fire.

Ok struggling to keep this blog working.  It's not responding.  I write a draft which disappears...twice.  Then out comes back so now  I have 2 copies of the same thing.  Getting cheesed off with this.  Might go give Word Press a go...

You know what?

It would seem that I can't move the photos around to where I want them, relative to the text.  More than a little annoying.

Found I can at least write around a picture.  Can I insert another here?  Let's see...

Well it turns out I can.  But I have to save the post as a draft first.  And the text is centered too which is not ideal.

Let's post this anyway.

Hmmmmm....

You know writing this just using my phone is not all that it's cracked up to be.

Once we got to the island, this was the view from the ferry.  Looks promising, eh?  We disembarked and found our spot on the beach to set up the tent.

So far so good.

Day 1 at Peng Chau

So the trip up was not too bad.  Caught the 9.30 ferry - only one of the day going out there - and it was cold!

Tuesday 29 March 2016

Quick practice from our Peng Chau camping trip.

And so the tales are told, of the Hong Kong Adventurous 5.

Not many tales, mind, but a few here and there.  This is just a practice run for a warm up for our backpacking trip around SE Asia later this summer.
